Following is a brief outline of the terms of the agreement authorizing real estate
schools and associations to offer the RFS designation program.
Schools accepted as Licensed Facilitation Centers are granted a nontransferable
and nonexclusive license to present the RFS training programs to students under
the direction of one or more Residential Finance Facilitators. This license does not
give Applicant any right to sublicense the training to others or to use the RFS
training materials and/or concepts in any program not specifically authorized by
Company.
The term of this license is for a period of three years, subject to renewal and
termination provisions contained in the LFC Agreement.
Contact the Residential Financing Council to
discuss licensing fees and royalties.
Schools accepted into the LFC program agree to have at least one instructor
certified to teach the RFS course. Instructors may be certified by attending the
RFS course at any existing LFC site or by taking the course directly through the
Residential Financing Council.
Schools licensed to offer the course agree to utilize only those training
materials approved by the Company for the presentation and facilitation of the RFS
training program, and may not modify or supplement the training course without
prior written approval by the Council. LFCs also agree to provide each student
with a Student Kit as supplied by the Residential Financing Council through its
authorized distributor, Real Estate Education Company. These Kits are available
at a special distributor price to all LFCs.
The Council has established the retail price of the RFS training program at $295,
but LFCs are free to offer the course at a discount at their discretion. The
course may not be offered at a price under $250 without the express written
permission of the Council.
