|
This program is designed to enhance your knowledge of financing options for
listing and selling real estate, ensuring greater numbers of qualified buyers,
smoother closings and customers for life.
The RFS designation program recognizes not only the unique role that each
professional plays in the home buying, home selling and homeownership process,
but also the importance of carefully orchestrated teamwork among all the players
in order to provide the most efficient and most satisfying total customer
experience for the consumer. As members of the Council, RFS designees become
part of a nationwide team of professionals linked together by a unique service
model and dedicated to the ongoing expansion of the service envelope: Leading
the industry into the World of Tomorrow!
Requirements for the designation:
Candidates for the designation are required
to apply for membership in the Residential Financing Council and to complete
the RFS Designation Course, either at a licensed training center or through
home-study.

Upon completion of the coursework, candidates for the designation must
successfully pass the written RFS examination—an “open book” test based on the
candidate’s ability to utilize the material taught in the course in day-to-day
practice. The examination is administered on site at each RFS Training Center.
Home study designation candidates can take the exam online upon completing the
course.
A final step in the designation process involves completing a Practical
Applications Survey Form.
Designees are required to maintain active membership in the Residential Financing
Council in order to maintain their designation status and to derive the full
benefits of the designation program.
